Here we are again, doing one of my favorite things...hopping. Our theme is "our favorite..."
I had a really hard time picking favorites, especially from Sale a Bration and the new Occasions Catalog. There are just so many wonderful things in the new Occasions Catalog that my wallet will be flat once again despite my resolution to not buy so much this New Year. By the way, Happy New Year to everyone. Last year sure slipped by fast. Maybe I can get more crafting done this year which I thought was going to happen last year.

You arrived here from Terri's blog. I love Terri's creativity. She always has some super great ideas.

To start off my projects, I must preface with the fact that I love vintage. So two of my projects are vintage. This first one uses my very favorite stamp set from the Sale a Bration catalog. These items can be earned with qualifying purchase from now until March  31 .
The stamp set I used is called Lotus Blossom and is a 3 step stamp. The 3 steps form the layers for the flower.

This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. The base is Crumb Cake CS, the first layer is Soft Suede and the print layer is the new Something Borrowed DSP that is originally white on white that I tinted with Garden Green and Soft Suede inks. Naturally being a vintage card all edges have been distressed and inked with Soft Suede. The embellishments are a tinted doily, pink lace and tinted pearls from the Artisan Embellishment kit, along with some Linen thread and an Antique brad. The Artisan Embellishment kit is found in the new Occasions Catalog. I think I need everything out of that catalog.
Next up is my Anything Goes which is has items all front he Annual Catalog.
Again I chose to go vintage. This card is a regular A2 card made with Ivory Naturals CS as the base.  I used Typeset DSP and a sheet from the All Abloom paper stack for my other 2 layers. All layers and the card base are distressed and inked with Soft Suede. The stamp set I chose is Sweetbriar Rose. The images were stamped on Very Vanilla CS and colored with Blendabilities. I stamped and colored 2 sets so I could cut images from the second set and layer them on the original for dimension. A piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding was used as embellishment.
Once again we got to have a person drawn for us so as to case or make one of their works ours. I drew Marsha's card. I chose to use her mixed media project from the Sale a Bration Hop last year.

I decided that though this is a canvas, it could translate to a card so this is what I came up with,
The card base is Pear Pizzazz and I used the Lattice EF on Vellum CS and tinted with Soft Sky ink. Under the vellum I stamped images from Petite Petals in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. The leaves are the birds wings on the Bird Builder punch and of course after stamping and coloring the flowers on Whisper White CS, I used the Petite Petals punch. The center of the flowers used the small image in the Boho Blossoms punch and scrunched them. The embellishments are the same as Marsha's, Antique Brad and 1/8" silver ribbon. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White CS using the Trust God stamp set which was then cut with Apothecary Accents framelit and edged in Soft Sky ink. I really didn't want to change too much of the project because I loved Marsha's canvas.

Now it's time to move on to Heidi's blog to see what fantastic things she has come up with. She never fails to inspire me.
