Welcome to our "The Best of...." blog hop. I have the pleasure of being the lead off for this hop, unless you started at the end and then you have come from the fabulous Heidi's blog. I love, love her creations and she does not disappoint this time either.

I was super excited about our theme this time. "The Best of..." offers a time to reminisce and dig into our stash of those items we love so much and just can't bear to part with.
One of our categories also allowed us to share an inspiration that we got from a creation of one of our fellow hoppers.
The final category, if you will, was what we found to be the best of any of our current catalogs.

So off we go with my first creation.
This project is my "blast from the past". The Asian inspired stamps have always been favorites of mine. So a few years ago when domino trays were popular I created this one.

I purchased an unfinished wood tray and painted it with red and black paint and added some gold edging. Each domino was stamped with Black Stazon and edged in gold with the gold ZigPainty pen. I then glued them in, I don't remember what adhesive I used. I think almost every Asian inspired stamp that SU! had was used in the design of this tray.

My next project is the "inspiration project". This project was inspired by a card made by Terri A. during our September hop. She said at the time she felt it was too early for a winter card with this set so she made it into this fall card.

Terri, I created a winter version for you.

The card base is Soft Sky and the layer is Marina Mist. I stamped several images of the trees onto Confetti White CS as well as the little snowman from the White Christmas stamp set. After stamping the "snowflakes" I added some Dazzling Details for a little sparkle. The embellishment is the All is Calm Snowflake from the Holiday catalog tied with the 1/8" silver ribbon. (try threading that through that tiny hole in the top). I added a Rhinestone Basic jewel for added sparkle.

Finally, I chose 3 stamps from the AC,  Hardwood, Daydream Medallion, and Petite Petals and their coordinating punch, dies and the Confetti Stars punch. I also used the Woodgrain EF and the Beautifully Baroque EF. Cherry Cobbler seam binding was added.  The CS used was Confetti White, Wild Wasabi, and Real Red along with Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobbler inks. The result was this -

This brings me to the end of my projects.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Now if you click the next button it will take you to Kathe D's blog where there are some wonderful surprises for you. Kathe is an awesome artist and her creations are inspiring. (I've cased a few in the past)
